The most complicated and enigmatic hazard you will see quite frequently in your career as a jimmy. Generally, if the block is red in color and maybe black, assume it is corruption until someone tries to de-corrupt it. Corruption can spread but how it spreads and at what rate is never consistent. Touching corruption in any way, by standing on it or attempting to dig it up, can infect you with the corruption. There is no known cure for infected jimmies.
You can never be sure how corruption will spread. Sometimes it will remain inert and seemingly do nothing. Do not mistake this for safety and clense it as quickly as possible as it has been known to transitiion from this state. It is unclear what triggers the transition from and to this state.
Corruption may chase a target. Sometimes is targets specific structures or even specific jimmies. Follow the orders of your commanders as they have been trained to identify what the corruption may be chasing.
Corruption may just spread wildly. Sometimes is seems to just want to destroy what has been build up and will do all it can to overtake it. Nothing can be done to stop this.
You cannot stop corruption and believing you can will only end in frustraition. All you can do is clean up after it. This does not mean you should let it spread unapposed, but never enter the area it is spreading to as it will re-corrupt the ground benith your feet just as fast as you clensed it. So far there is no clear indication if clensing even slows it down, but there is no reason to test if this is the case or not.
Corruption can appear in places it wasn't previously by being delievered by monsters, or blood magic rituals. They can also re-appear if the area was just clensed. Notable examples of blood magic rituals are the construction of demon alters and a ressurection ritual cast by the panda bears.
It is how we get around and many jimmies have fallen to being flung off the ship. Laying down to grab the floor and sitting are the best ways to avoid being flung off the ship. Being below deck is also a safe way to avoid being thrown off the ship. That being said, be careful when you arrive at the desitation as we don't always arrive safely. The ship can be on fire, invaded by hostiles, and/or usually high up in the air. Be ready when you warp because you can never be sure what will happen when you arrive.
In the forests of Mt. Willakars there are blue vines that grow out of the ground and kill any dwarf that kills them. They are blocked by stone covering the dirt and can be dug up if you attack their roots.
Accoridng to Bruce:
These plants are responsible for keeping mt. Willakars safe from monster attacks.
On an alient planet that bats originate from, the water is a green color and extremely poisonous. Don't swim in it. Good luck building bridges with proper supports.
