While commands are not needed for LOM or roleplay, they are very helpful with roleplay, gaining skills, disabling skills, spending money and more.
The skills that you might use in day to day life are /me, /spawn, /skill and /char. /me can be used to indicate an action your character is performing. Such examples could include '/me taps shoulder', '/me struggles weakly', or '/me gasps'. /spawn can be used to take your character and break them back to the beacons at the spawn of the world in the Slums. /skill is used to open up the skills menu where you can see your skills and spend your hard earned level ups, (though with the purchase of a skill book, you can simply use that to open up the skill book.) /char can be used to open up a menu and transfer to a different character. Characters do not share inventories, but they do share plots and enderchest storage. More commands include /nick, /names (character, on, off), /skin (link) /lay, /resourcepack, and /skin fetch (username). /nick (name) lets you set a name for your character, typically the one you go by in game. /names allows you to see the names of the different characters in LOM. 'on' lets you see their username and in character name. 'character' lets you see people characters name. 'off' turns off both in character and usernames. /skin 'link' sets your LOM skin as whatever link you have paste in. /lay makes you lay on the ground, /resourcepack refreshes the resourcepack that the server uses to run and /skin fetch (username) gives you a link to the skin that a given person uses. For example, '/skin fetch DaniDipp' will give you Dani's currently equipped skin.
